THE RAINBOW BRIDGE
There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of it's many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys and lush green grass.
When a beloved Gordon dies, they go to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.
There is only one thing missing. They are not with the special person who loved them on earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up! The nose twitches! The ears are up! The eyes are staring! And this one runs from the group!!!!
You have been seen! And when you and your special Gordon meet, you take them in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting Gordon.
You then cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never to be separated again.

![]() Our first champion, BBB and all breed HIT winner. He was a dog with a passion for running big and pointing anything. I carry a mental picture of him flying along the hill top ridge at Highland, with the autumn sun behind him, and the huge setter smile he had when I walked him back out of the bird field. Life didn't get any better for him than the 20 minutes of ecstacy running the junior course. He retired with 9 JH legs!! I'm sure he's already hunting at the bridge. U-CDX Ch. What can I say about
Duffy?
Sometimes you just have to listen to the dog who chooses you. I'm
so glad I listened to you
Duff, you
loved your people, your toys, and girls. Not always in that order!
As suddenly as he left, without pain, and discomfort, a true
testament to his heart, Duff was all heart, giving his all to what
ever we asked of him. I won't say goodbye, just until we meet
again.....

CH. SCIMITAR'S DANGER BLUEWIN JH
JAN 14, 1994-OCT 13, 2007
When I got you at 7 months of age you were the ugliest Gordon I had ever
seen. But like the ugly duckling you grew into one very handsome boy.
You had some big paws to fill and you filled those paws far beyond my
expectations and dreams. You were great with our grandkids, especially
Ashley, who you stuck too like Velcro and your grandkids, especially
Beni. We miss you Meat-Too Mick & Janet ![]() |
